* WHAT...Dangerously hot conditions with heat index values up to 104 possible.
* WHERE...Portions of east central and southeast Indiana, northeast and northern Kentucky, and central, south central, southwest, and west central Ohio.
* WHEN...From Sunday afternoon through Tuesday evening.
* IMPACTS...Heat related illnesses increase significantly during extreme heat and high humidity events, particularly for those working or participating in outdoor activities.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Consecutive days of excessive heat and humidity combined with very warm low temperatures can be especially hazardous as the overnight hours provide little relief from the heat. The heat may continue into Wednesday.

Leona Steinemann
Leona A. Steinemann, 92, of Minster, died at 6:49 a.m. Dec. 5, 2011, at Elmwood of New Bremen.
She was born Jan. 26, 1919, in Fort Loramie, to John and Anna Schlater Borchers. On Jan. 31, 1940, she married Carl B. "Jim" Steinemann, who died Aug. 30, 2007.
Surviving are four children, Karen (Ben) Dwenger, Connie (Rich) Bergman, Ann Stucke and Kevin (Bonnie) Steinemann, all of Minster; two sisters, Agnes Winner, New Bremen, and Mary Lou (Homer) Bornhorst, Fort Loramie; two sisters-in-law, Luella Borchers and Henrietta (Sam) Dosek, all of Fort Loramie; 17 grandchildren; and 27 great-grandchildren.
Deceased are a son-in-law, Delbert Stucke; six brothers, Clarence, Herbert, Anthony, Louie, John and Al Borchers; and four sisters, Martha Hilgefort, Mildred Barhorst, Emma Kaiser and Helen Barga.
She was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church in Minster, where she served as bereavement coordinator for 20 years and sang in the Resurrection Choir. She also was a member of Minster American Legion Auxiliary and the Farm Bureau's Advisory Council.
Funeral Mass is 10 a.m. Friday at the church, the Rev. Rick Nieberding officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery.
Calling is 2 to 8 p.m. Thursday and 9 to 9:30 a.m. Friday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home in Minster.     Contributions may be made to the Glenmary Missions or the Elmwood of New Bremen Activity Fund.
