Darrel Smith
Darrel M. Smith, 81, died 2:07 a.m. Dec. 5, 2011, at Laurels of Shane Hill, Rockford.
He was born Feb. 16, 1930, to Cleveland and Elizabeth Dumbald Smith. On Sept. 26, 1953, he married Ruth L. Boroff, who survives.
Also surviving are a son, Gregory (Carol) Smith, and a granddaughter.
Deceased are two sisters, Doveta Black and Violet Craft.
He was retired from Goodyear Rubber Plant, St. Marys, and was an Army veteran of the Korean War. He was a member of St. Marys Eagles #767.
Private family services will be held at Elm Grove Cemetery, St. Marys, the Rev. Robert Ellis officiating.
There is no calling.
