The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency has issued a statewide Air Quality Advisory for the entire state of Ohio as smoke from Canadian wildfires continues to adversely impact air quality.
Pollutants across the state are expected to range from the 'Unhealthy For Sensitive Groups' category in the southwest part of the state to the 'Unhealthy' category in the rest of the state. Hourly concentrations at times may reach the 'Very Unhealthy' to 'Hazardous' categories.
It is recommended, when possible, to avoid strenuous outdoor activities, especially those with heart disease and respiratory conditions like asthma. Watch for symptoms including wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, dizziness, or burning in the nose, throat, and eyes.

Alice Rose
Alice E. Rose, 70, St. Henry, died at 1:10 a.m. Feb. 12, 2012, at her home.
She was born June 6, 1941, in St. Henry, to John and Loretta Huelskamp Gehle. On May 30, 1964, she married Thomas J. Rose, who survives.
Also surviving are three daughters, Karen (Dennis) Schwieterman, Portland, Ind., Linda (John) Barr, Fairborn, and Diane (Joe) Hoover, St. Henry; three sisters, Mary Artz, Huber Heights, Helen Dues, St. Henry, and Marilyn (Dale) Fisher, Piqua; two sisters-in-law, Rita Gehle and Mary Alice Bruns, both of St. Henry; and six grandchildren.
Deceased are siblings and spouses, Richard and Audrey Gehle, Wilbert "Wib" Gehle, Edward and Florentine Gehle, Cecilia and Walter Compton, Irene and Richard Kerschner, and Clara and William Smart; six infant brothers; four brothers-in-law, Walter Dues, Edward Artz, Martin Mott and Donald Bruns; and a grandson.
She was a member of St. Henry Catholic Church and the Ladies Altar Rosary Sodality. She was a 1959 graduate of St. Henry High School and had sold Avon Products for 30 years.
Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the church, the Rev. Thomas Hemm officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Calling is 2-8 p.m. Tuesday and 9-10 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to State of the Heart Hospice, Coldwater.
