Wayne Miller
Wayne R. Miller, 67, Mendon, died March 10, 2012, at The Ohio State University Medical Center, Columbus.
He was born June 7, 1944, in Union Township to W.I. "Ike" and Blanche Ashbaugh Miller. On May 23, 1964, he married Pauline Hicks, who survives.
Also surviving are two children, David (Lisa) Miller, Beavercreek, and Paula Miller, Dublin; three siblings, Ray (Mae) Miller, Celina, Alice (Art) Henry, Goshen, Ind., and Betty Simons, Monroeville, Ind.; in-laws, Wanda Mahaffey, Arkansas, Shirley Hicks, St. Marys, Phyllis (Everett) Lauth, Mendon, Bonita (Eric) Welker, Mendon, Eugene (Brenda) Hicks, Mendon, and June (Denny) Dorsten, Mendon; and three grandchildren.
Deceased are a sister, Carol Lou Miller; a brother and his wife, Glenn and Rosaleen Miller; and a brother-in-law, Ronnie Simons.
He retired from Teleflex in Van Wert after 32 years of service and was a farmer. He was a 1962 graduate of Mendon-Union High School, a Webelos leader and assistant with summer baseball and softball coaching.
Service is 11 a.m. Wednesday at Mendon First Church of God, the Revs. Dean Bruce and Randy Christian officiating. Burial will follow in Mendon Cemetery.
Calling is 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at W.H. Dick & Sons-Hellwarth Funeral Home, Mendon, and one hour prior to service Wednesday at the church.
Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or to the National Kidney Foundation.
