* WHAT...Dangerously hot conditions with heat index values up to 105 possible.
* WHERE...Portions of east central and southeast Indiana, northeast and northern Kentucky, and central, south central, southwest, and west central Ohio.
* WHEN...From Sunday afternoon through Tuesday evening.
* IMPACTS...Heat related illnesses increase significantly during extreme heat and high humidity events, particularly for those working or participating in outdoor activities.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Consecutive days of excessive heat and humidity can be especially hazardous as warm overnight temperatures will provide little relief. The heat may continue into Wednesday.

Owen Noland
Owen "Buzz" Noland, 88, St. Marys, died at 10:20 p.m. May 23, 2012, at his home.
He was born March 1, 1924, in West Irvin, Ky., to Frank and Mary Hall Noland. On Dec. 27, 1986, he married Shirley J. Harleman, who survives.
Also surviving are four daughters, Jo (Dave) Music, Centerville, Jackie Klimaski, Beavercreek, Lillian Noland, Perrysville, and Sue (Steve) Powell, Clayton; four stepdaughters, Susan Fleming and Cheryl (Rick) Fugate, all of Greenville, Sharon (Kenny) Stollar, Lake Panasoffkee, Fla., and Deborah (Dale) Petersan, Lompoc, Calif.; eight grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, 10 stepgrandchildren and five stepgreat-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Charles Noland, and two sisters, Mildred Swink and Helen Laukhart.
He retired from Majestic Liquor Co., where his sales territory included Cleveland, Columbus and Cincinnati. He previously worked 32 years for Seagram's Distilleries as district sales manager in New York City. A World War II veteran with U.S. Army service in the European Theatre, he was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 9289 and American Legion Post 323, both of St. Marys, and the Masonic Lodge and Antioch Temple, both of Dayton.
Calling is 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Miller Funeral Home, St. Marys. Military rites will be conducted at the conclusion of visitation.
No funeral service is planned.
