Scattered snow showers will become more widespread through this afternoon and then likely linger into this evening before tapering off.
The snow showers will be capable of causing brief periods of reduced visibilities, especially this afternoon. In addition, brisk conditions will prevail with west winds gusting in the 30 to 40 mph range today.
Light snow accumulations will be possible, mainly on grassy and elevated surfaces. While roads will remain mostly wet during the daytime hours, some slick spots may develop toward sunset as temperatures begin to drop below freezing.
Please be prepared for the changing weather conditions today and the potential for reduced visibilities when driving.

Martha Rosenbeck
Martha M. Rosenbeck, 88, formerly of Chickasaw and New Bremen, died at 2:55 a.m. Aug. 5, 2012, at Briarwood Village, Coldwater.
She was born Dec. 22, 1923, near Minster, to John and Alvina (Berning) Horstman. On Nov. 7, 1942, she married Eugene Rosenbeck, who preceded her in death.
Survivors include her children, Eugene (Bonnie) Rosenbeck, Wapakoneta, John Rosenbeck, Harwood, Texas, Dennis Rosenbeck, Cincinnati, Vernon (Karen) Rosenbeck, Russia, Patrick "Buck" (Lisa) Rosenbeck, Coldwater, Jeff (Marcia) Rosenbeck, Chickasaw, Joan Zachariah, Ada, Rose (Richard) Obringer, Coldwater, and Ann (Neal) Forsthoefel, Portland, Ore.; two sisters, Rita Harting and Katie Horstman, both of Minster, a sister-in-law, Oneda Horstman, New Knoxville; 25 grandchildren; and 30 great-grandchildren.
Deceased are a daughter, Martha Jean Rosenbeck, and five brothers, Henry, Anthony, William, John and Cletus Rosenbeck.
She was a member of the Precious Blood Catholic Church, Chickasaw, where she taught religion classes. She was a member of the former New Bremen Women's Club and was active in the 4-H and Cub Scouts in Mercer County. She was a volunteer and helped with the formation of the Mercer County Crisis Center in Celina. She worked at Home Health Care and Valley Nursing Home in St. Marys and had owned and operated the former Grandma's Bed and Breakfast in New Bremen.
Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Friday at the church, the Rev. Eugene Schnipke officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery.
Calling is 5-8 p.m. Thursday at Gilberg-Hartwig Funeral Home, New Bremen, and one hour prior to the services Friday at the church.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Mercer County Crisis Center, Celina.
