Scattered snow showers will become more widespread through this afternoon and then likely linger into this evening before tapering off.
The snow showers will be capable of causing brief periods of reduced visibilities, especially this afternoon. In addition, brisk conditions will prevail with west winds gusting in the 30 to 40 mph range today.
Light snow accumulations will be possible, mainly on grassy and elevated surfaces. While roads will remain mostly wet during the daytime hours, some slick spots may develop toward sunset as temperatures begin to drop below freezing.
Please be prepared for the changing weather conditions today and the potential for reduced visibilities when driving.

Lester Klosterman
Lester H. Klosterman, 99, Greenville, died Aug. 5, 2012, at 10:55 p.m. at Wayne HealthCare in Greenville.
He was born Dec. 25, 1912, in Mercer County, to Frank and Adelaide Klosterman. On Feb. 12, 1944, he was married to Leatrice Striegel, who survives.
Also surviving are five children, Sharon L. (Philip) Nyhuis, Buffalo, N.Y.; Carol J. (Frank) Tantum, Homer Glen, Ill.; Elizabeth A. (Donald) Saintignon, Greenville; Janice M. (Scott) Mills, Greenville; and Robert J. (Connie) Klosterman, Celina; 12 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
Deceased are his siblings, Ivo Klosterman, Elmer Klosterman, Eileen Herman, Wiro Klosterman and Rita Lucas.
He served with the United States Army Air Corps in World War II and was the manager for United Green Company in Rossburg. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Greenville, and the Knights of Columbus.
Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the church, the Rev. John White officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Calling is 5-8 p.m. Wednesday at Zechar Bailey Funeral Home, Greenville. A graveside military service will be conducted by the Greenville Veterans Honor Guard.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Darke County Cancer Association or American Heart Association.
