* At 545 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from 6 miles southeast of Bluffton to 10 miles north of Hagerstown, moving northeast at 60 mph.
HAZARD...70 mph wind gusts and penny size hail.

CELINA - Celina's general fund used to pay for day-to-day operations of the city, including the police and fire departments, is in good shape and poised to have a carryover of $1.9 million next year.

Accident victim's brother remains in critical condition

A Fort Recovery man died Monday afternoon of injuries sustained in a Sunday morning traffic accident. His brother, who also was involved in the accident, remains in critical condition.
Cody Wehnes, 18, 2620 Sawmill Road, was pronounced dead about 2:15 p.m. Monday in the intensive care unit at Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton. It was the 15th traffic fatality of the year in Mercer County. [More]

A longtime, county soil and water official has been tapped for a permanent position working with farmers on nutrient issues in the Grand Lake Watershed and beyond.
Frances Springer has been hired as a nutrient management specialist by the Ohio Department of Natural Resources Division of Soil and Water Resources to replace John Kaiser, who quit June 15 to take another state job.
