Marcella Lefeld
Marcella "Sally" Lefeld, 97, Coldwater, died Sept. 12, 2012, at Briarwood Village, Coldwater.
She was born Feb. 26, 1915, in Philothea, to Frank and Anna Pleiman Hemmelgarn. On Sept. 5, 1936, she married Joseph H. Lefeld, who died Dec. 25, 1990.
Surviving are four children, Jo Ann (Ron) Catanzaro, Dayton, Stanley (Margie) Lefeld, Coldwater, Linda (Don) Lennartz, Ft. Recovery, and Gary (Vickie) Lefeld, Coldwater; a daughter-in-law, Therese Lefeld, Coldwater; brothers and sisters-in-law, Agnes Pohlman, Versailles, and Bernie Homan, Ben Lefeld, Hank (Trudy) Lefeld and Mary Ann Lefeld, all of St. Henry; 14 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.
Also deceased are two sons, Melvin and David Lefeld; a brother, Ed (Josephine) Hemmelgarn, brothers and sisters-in-law, Dorothy Kuess, Alvina (Bill) Stammen, Ed (Viola) Lefeld, Serf (Clarina) Lefeld, Ot Pohlman, Agnes Lefeld, Al Homan and Martin Lefeld; and a great-grandchild.
She was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Coldwater, and its St. Ann's Rosary Altar Sodality. She had been president for the Coldwater Eagles Auxiliary and Knights of St. John Auxiliary, Coldwater.
She volunteered for the bloodmobile and Coldwater Community picnic. She worked at Lefeld Welding & Steel Supplies and the former Jutte's IGA, Coldwater.
Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Monday at the church. Burial will follow in St. Elizabeth Cemetery, Coldwater.
Calling is 1-6 p.m. Sunday and 9-10 a.m. Monday at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Coldwater.
