Marie Langenkamp
Marie B. Langenkamp, 88, North Star, died Oct. 4, 2013, at Celina Manor Nursing Home, Celina.
She was born Oct. 21, 1924, in Burkettsville to Joseph and Josephine Weis Stammen. On Aug. 7, 1946, she married Ado F. Langenkamp, who died Nov. 17, 2001.
Surviving are seven children, Diane (Dick) Thobe, Chickasaw, Gary (Valerie) Langenkamp, Fletcher, Dale (Susie) Langenkamp, North Star, Neal (Beth) Langenkamp, Union, Darlene (Nick) Koesters, St. Henry, Karen (Jeff) Larmore, Celina, and Steve (Lisa) Langenkamp, North Star; 25 grandchildren, two stepgrandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren; six stepgreat-grandchildren; two sisters, Delores Groff, Dayton and Eulalia (Elmer) Klosterman, Montezuma; and in-laws, Lois Stammen, St. Henry, Mathilda Stammen, St. Henry, Marcella Stammen, Burkettsville, Ruth Stammen, Burkettsville, Ruth Stammen, New Weston, and Marian Langenkamp of Florida.
Deceased are a grandchild; and brothers, sisters and in-laws, Alfons Stammen, Armella Stammen, Coletta Stammen, Margaret and Norbert Langenkamp, Herman Stammen, Edward and Bernadine Stammen, Cyril Stammen, Cornelius 'Bud' and Anna Mae Stammen, Virgil Stammen, Carl Stammen, Lawrence Stammen, Joseph Groff, Ivo Langenkamp, Albert and Mary Langenkamp and Lucille and Vince Gehle.
She was a member of St. Louis Catholic Church, North Star, and the church choir, St. Ann's Ladies Sodality, the North Star American Legion Auxiliary and enjoyed bowling with her husband. She also loved quilting and baking cookies for her grandchildren.
Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. on Monday at St. Louis Catholic Church, North Star, the Rev. David Zink officiating. Burial will follow in St. Louis Cemetery.
Calling is 1-6 p.m. Sunday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, St. Henry and 9-10 a.m. Monday at St. Louis Catholic Church.
