Some patchy fog will linger this afternoon, but more widespread fog is expected tonight into Monday morning. Visibilities are likely to be reduced below one mile, with quarter mile or lower visibilities possible. Isolated locations may observe temperatures at or just below freezing. If dense fog occurs in these locations, some slick spots may develop on elevated surfaces. When encountering fog, be sure to turn on low beam headlights, slow down, and increase following distance.

Good weather yields bumper corn crop in many areas

Farmers in Mercer County and surrounding areas are busy harvesting corn and soybeans. A bountiful crop is being reported in many areas of the country, but with the government shutdown, local agencies could not be reached for comment on yields.
