* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 12:40 PM EDT Sunday the stage was 13.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 13.0 feet this afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage just after midnight tonight. - Flood stage is 13.0 feet.

Vaughn Wakefield
Vaughn G. Wakefield, 66, Versailles, passed away at 5:55 a.m. March 13, 2014, at State of the Heart Hospice Care Center in Greenville.
He was born Feb. 27, 1948, in Centralia, Wash., to James A. and Thelma Orloske Wakefield. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Rita M. Brackman Wakefield, whom he married Feb. 8, 1969.
Also surviving are a daughter, Sundra (Jerry) Bey III, Versailles; grandchildren, Shelby Bey, Brett Bey, Bo Bey and Cael Bey; siblings, Lonny "Jim" (Suzanne) Wakefield, Brinkhaven, Cheryl (Jim) Williams, Dallas, Ore., John Wakefield, Centralia, Wash., Lynn (Bo) Wakefield-Rickard, Centralia, and Greg (Cathy) Wakefield, Atwater, Calif.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a son, Daniel G. Wakefield; a daughter, Melissa M. "Missy" Wakefield, and a sister, Karen LeDuc.
He owned and operated a poultry business. He was a member of St. Denis Catholic Church, Versailles, the Versailles Vet's Club and Versailles Fraternal Order of Eagles.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Denis Catholic Church, the Rev. Ron Haft officiating. Burial will follow in St. Valbert Cemetery in Versailles.
Calling is 2-7 p.m. Sunday and 9-10 a.m. Monday at Bailey Zechar Funeral Home, Versailles.
