* IMPACTS...At 13.0 feet, State Route 117 near Route 118 north of Rockford is water-covered and closed.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 12:40 PM EDT Sunday the stage was 13.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 13.0 feet this afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage just after midnight tonight. - Flood stage is 13.0 feet.

Wilbert Gruebmeyer
Wilbert F. Gruebmeyer, 95, New Bremen, died at 8:10 a.m. May 8, 2014, at Elmwood Assisted Living of New Bremen.
He was born Aug. 15, 1918, on the family farm outside New Bremen to Fred and Flora Wehrman Gruebmeyer. On June 20, 1945, he married Gladys C. Brockman, who died April 6, 2002.
Survivors include his children, Larry (Carol) Gruebmeyer, Mesa, Ariz., Wayne (Kathy) Gruebmeyer, New Bremen, Ned (Marie) Gruebmeyer, Tipp City, and Janet (Robert) Eilerman, New Bremen; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Deceased are two infant sons and his siblings, Jeannette Hegemeier, Vilma Rump and Leonard Gruebmeyer.
He was a faithful member of St. Paul United Church of Christ, New Bremen. He was active in the church for many years, including serving as a trustee on the church council. He was engaged in farming for his entire life and in his spare time enjoyed going fishing. Family was also a large part of his life. His family was important to him and he always enjoyed the time they spent together.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Paul United Church of Christ, New Bremen, the Rev. Becky Erb Strang officiating. Burial will follow in the German Protestant Cemetery, New Bremen.
Calling is 2-6 p.m. Sunday at Gilberg-Hartwig Funeral Home, New Bremen, and one hour prior to services Monday at the church.
Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Paul Church Stained Glass Window Restoration Project.
