Periods of light snow along with scattered snow showers will continue through the overnight and into Thursday morning. Accumulations are expected to be light, however, with dropping temperatures, slick spots will be possible for the Thursday morning commute. Some snow showers may produce a quick few tenths to a half inch of accumulation, which would increase the potential for slick spots in localized areas. If traveling, use caution, as road conditions could quickly change across short distances and on elevated surfaces like bridges and overpasses.

Thomas Sekas
Thomas J. Sekas, 78, Sidney, passed away May 18, 2014, at 8:45 p.m. at Dorothy Love Retirement Community.
He was born Nov. 29, 1935, in Piqua, to Nicholas and Francis Birkenheuer Sekas, who are deceased.
He is survived by four children, Joyce Reier, Tom (Susan) Sekas, both of Sidney, Tim (Diane) Sekas, Minster, and Susan (Gregg) Anderson, Sidney; two sisters, Holly (Phil) Eby, Miami, Fla., and Rose (Larry) Ross, Covington; one brother, Bill Sekas, Sidney; 14 grandchildren, Kara, Joni, Tony, Nick, Jacob, Danielle, Brad, Brian, Ben, Brad, Jared, Scott, Jenna and Ellie; 11 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and close friends.
He was preceded in death by one son, Jerry Sekas, and six siblings, Mike and Jim Sekas, Peg Michael, Katie Schneider, Anna Yount and Angie Sexauer.
He served in the U.S. Air Force 1955-1958. He was the owner/operator of the former Dixie Oil Company and later worked for Cooper Jarrett Trucking Company and Stolle Corp before retiring from the Shelby County Engineer's Office. He was an avid Notre Dame fan and member of the Sidney Elks Lodge, Knights of Columbus, Eagles, Moose, American Legion and VFW.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Holy Angels Catholic Church, the Revs. Daniel Schmitmeyer and Daniel Hess officiating. Burial will be at Graceland Cemetery in Sidney at a later date.
Calling is 5-8 p.m. Wednesday at Cromes Funeral Home, Sidney. Services will be conducted by the Sidney Elks Lodge and Knights of Columbus on Wednesday at 7:45 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Holy Angels Tuition Assistance, Lehman Foundation, and Wilson Hospice in memory of Thomas J. Sekas.
