Periods of light snow along with scattered snow showers will continue through the overnight and into Thursday morning. Accumulations are expected to be light, however, with dropping temperatures, slick spots will be possible for the Thursday morning commute. Some snow showers may produce a quick few tenths to a half inch of accumulation, which would increase the potential for slick spots in localized areas. If traveling, use caution, as road conditions could quickly change across short distances and on elevated surfaces like bridges and overpasses.

Jason DeRoo
Jason P. DeRoo, 27, Fairfield, died May 17, 2014, at Mercy Hospital of Fairfield.
He was born May 14, 1987, in New Brunswick, N.J., to Barry and Ann Wynk DeRoo, who survive.
Also surviving are a brother, Brian DeRoo and his fiancee Melanie Jump, and a sister, Maria DeRoo, all of Fairfield; a grandmother, Rita Wendel Wynk, Celina; and a grandfather, Bernard DeRoo, Dallas, Texas.
He was preceded in death by grandfather Robert Wynk and grandmother Lois DeRoo.
He was a 2006 graduate of Fairfield High School and a member of Sacred Heart Church. He was a member of Boy Scout Troop #420 of Miamitown, earning his Eagle Scout in 2005. He was assistant scout master of the troop. For 10 years he worked at Jungle Jim's Market.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in Sacred Heart Church, Fairfield, the Rev. Larry Tharp officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery.
Calling is 5-8 p.m. today at Zettler Funeral Home and 9:30-10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the church.
