Eileen Bubp
Eileen E. Bubp, 90, formerly of St. Marys, died Nov. 23, 2014, at Briarwood Village, Coldwater.
She was born June 18, 1924, in Van Buren Township, Shelby County, to Harry and Leona Wierwille Schroer. On July 3, 1945, in St. Marys, she married Henry "Bud" Bubp, who died July 7, 1973.
Surviving are two daughters, Bonnie James, Troy, and Kristie (Charles) Bubp-Black, Celina; a daughter-in-law, Carol Bubp, St. Marys; nine grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; a brother, Roger (Freda) Schroer, Sidney; and a sister, Ruth Ann (Chuck) Elsass, Minneapolis, Minn.
Deceased are an infant son, Joseph Bubp; a son, James Bubp; a brother, Al Schroer; a sister, Dorothy Schroer; and a son-in-law, Tom James.
She was a 1942 graduate of Anna High School. She retired from Post 6 of the Ohio State Highway Patrol where she served as a dispatcher for many years.
Her favorite pastimes included gambling, traveling to Las Vegas and relaxing on the white sand at St. Petersburg Beach, Fla. Above all, she enjoyed spending time with her family and close friends.
Services are 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Miller-Long & Folk Funeral Home, High Street Chapel, St. Marys. Burial will follow at Elm Grove Cemetery, St. Marys.
