Light snow across the area early this morning will increase in coverage and intensity toward sunrise in the I-70 corridor. This band of moderate snow will push south affecting the Tri-State region by mid morning, eventually pushing south of the area by early to mid afternoon.
Snow amounts of 1-2 inches will common for a good portion of the area on grassy surfaces, with melting on concrete surfaces limiting accumulations. Main impacts are expected to be reduced visibilities and some slick spots on mainly bridges and overpasses.
Temperatures today will remain steady mainly in the upper 20s. These cold temperatures combined with gusty winds of 20-25 mph will result in wind chill values in the teens to lower 20s.
Motorists should exercise caution. Plan extra time for the Monday morning commute.

Beulah Hays
Beulah Mae Spar Hays, 90, rural Ada, died at 3:15 a.m. Jan. 3, 2015, at her residence.
She was born Oct. 21, 1924, at home in Ada, to Jesse Roy and Caroline M. Clark Spar. On May 30, 1948, she married Ralph D. Hays, who died Jan. 27, 2010.
Surviving are five children, Bruce (Mindy) Hays, Celina, Janis Hays Carse, Harrod, Donald (Peggy) Hays, West Mansfield, Bradley (Debra) Hays, Ada, and Rex (Bonnie) Hays, Spencerport, N.Y.; 16 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.
Also deceased are two grandsons, Cpl. Nathan B. Carse and Corey D. Hays; a brother, Floyd Spar; and three sisters, Zona Wyss, Helen Ludwig and Mary Alice Wintzer.
She was a full-time farmer's wife and mother. She was an Ada High School graduate. She also graduated from Bliss Business College in Columbus in accounting and then from the Lima Memorial School of Nursing through the Cadet Nurse Program. She worked as a registered nurse at Lima Memorial Hospital and Gibbons Hospital in Celina.
She was a life member of the Sugar Grove United Methodist Church, Ada, where she was active with the Sugar Grovettes Quartet and the United Methodist Women. She also was a member of the Ada Bowling League. She was in the second class of the Ada Liberty Township EMS Squad training and volunteered for many years. She also volunteered with the Ada Red Cross and was a member of the Ada Area Doctor Search Committee.
Services are 11 a.m. Wednesday at Hanson-Neely Funeral Home, Ada, Pastor Courtnie Morton officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery, Ada.
Calling is 2-8 p.m. Tuesday and 8:30-11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be given to the Sugar Grove United Methodist Church and/or Hardin Hospice Care of Kenton.
