The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency has issued a statewide Air Quality Advisory for the entire state of Ohio as smoke from Canadian wildfires continues to adversely impact air quality.
Pollutants across the state are expected to range from the 'Unhealthy For Sensitive Groups' category in the southwest part of the state to the 'Unhealthy' category in the rest of the state. Hourly concentrations at times may reach the 'Very Unhealthy' to 'Hazardous' categories.
It is recommended, when possible, to avoid strenuous outdoor activities, especially those with heart disease and respiratory conditions like asthma. Watch for symptoms including wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, dizziness, or burning in the nose, throat, and eyes.

Clete Woeste
Clete F. Woeste, 98, Coldwater and formerly of St. Rose, died on Jan. 3, 2015, at Mercer County Community Hospital, Coldwater.
He was born May 7, 1916, in St. Rose, to Frank and Bernadine Poeppelman Woeste. On Oct. 12, 1940, he married Evelyn M. Dues, who died six days earlier on Dec. 28, 2014, after 74 years of marriage.
Surviving are three children, Janice (Don) Broer-ing, Coldwater, Frank (Donna) Woeste, St. Henry, and Karen (Jim) Scheer, Celina; a son-in-law, Brad Hegemier, Minster; 11 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and in-laws, Lucille Jansen, Coldwater, Helen Dues, Coldwater, and Betty (Gene) East, Tipp City.
Also deceased are a daughter, Joan Hegemier; two sisters, Velma (Ferd) Dwenger and Mary (Les) Hubartt; and in-laws Mary (Bill) Wellman, Walter Dues, Gene (Rita) Dues, Melvin Dues and Dennis Jansen.
He was a member of St. Rose Catholic Church, St. Rose, and Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Coldwater. He was known as the "Mayor of St. Rose." When he was a young boy he sat on the fender of a Model T Ford and watched a mechanic work on the engine. From that day forward, he knew he wanted to be a mechanic. He worked for many years at the former Matt Schwieterman Inc., Coldwater, and retired from the Mercer County Garage.
According to his wishes, no services will be held. Arrangements are being handled by Hogenkamp Funeral Home.
