At 459 PM EDT, gusty showers were located along a line extending from near Ada to near Northridge, moving east at 25 mph. Some of these showers are capable of producing funnel clouds and isolated thunder.
HAZARD...Funnel clouds and wind gusts up to 40 mph.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects.
Locations impacted include... Marysville, Bellefontaine, Urbana, Kenton, Ada, Plain City, Richwood, St. Paris, West Liberty, Mechanicsburg, North Lewisburg, Forest, Russells Point, De Graff, Lakeview, Dunkirk, Alger, Belle Center, West Mansfield, and Chippewa Park.
Conditions are favorable for the development of weak, brief funnel clouds. This type of funnel cloud is harmless, but on rare occasions they can briefly touch down, producing wind gusts over 50 mph. If a funnel cloud is spotted move indoors and report your sighting to the National Weather Service.
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a sturdy building.

Dorothy Durkee-Bowers
Dorothy M. Durkee-Bowers, 97, of St. Marys, OH died 7:54 a.m. Friday May 6, 2016 at Otterbein-St. Marys.
She was born October 8, 1918 in Michigan to Craven and Edna (Coin) Goodman. In April of 1945, she married Clarence L. Durkee, who died January 22, 1977. On January 7, 1978, she then married Fredrick U. Bowers, who died April 29, 1978.
Survivors include: son Larry (Marge) Durkee of St. Marys, OH; daughter Beverly (Rex) Roby of Huntington, WV; 3 grandchildren Mike (Dixie) Durkee, Paula (Terry) Spears, Jeff Roby; 5 great-grandchildren Jason (Krystal) Durkee, Andrew (Meg) Durkee, Grace Spears, Andrew Spears.
Preceded in death by: parents Craven and Edna Goodman; first husband Clarence Durkee; second husband Frederick Bowers; brother Frank Goodman; sister Marjorie Weishuhn.
She was a homemaker and retired production employee from the Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. in St. Marys. She was a member of Wayne Street United Methodist Church.
Dorothy volunteered countless hours for the JTDM Hospital Auxiliary/Guild. Her favorite pastimes included cross-stitch, crocheting and playing cards.
Rites are scheduled to begin 3:00 p.m. Tuesday May 10, 2016 at Miller Funeral Home 1605 Celina Road (Ohio 703 West Chapel) in St. Marys. The Rev. Lynn Huffman will officiate the services. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memory gardens, near Moulton, OH.
Visitation 1:00–3:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
