* WHAT...Very cold wind chills as low as 10 to 20 below zero expected.
* WHERE...Portions of east central and southeast Indiana, northeast and northern Kentucky, and central, south central, southwest, and west central Ohio.
* WHEN...From 7 PM this evening to noon EST Saturday.
* IMPACTS...The dangerously cold wind chills as low as 20 below zero could cause frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 30 minutes.

Sub-zero temperatures and wind chill values are expected this morning. While most locations will have values in the negative single digits, some isolated temperatures and wind chills will briefly be as low as 10 to 15 degrees below zero.

Robert Pickering

Robert J. "Bob" Pickering, 74, of Celina, OH passed away at Celina Manor on December 25, 2016 at 1:36 pm.

He was born March 1, 1942 in Celina to Karl and Eva (Roach) Pickering, both preceded him in death. He married Patricia A. Manger on September 9, 1988, and she preceded him in death on July 15, 1997.
Survivors include two daughters, Dorothy J. Braun, FL, and Janeva Pickering, St. Marys; six step-children, two sisters, Karlene Speicher, Wapakoneta, and Hazel Heinfield, Ada; a sister-in-law, Jane Pickering, Celina; a special friend, Sharon McGee, Celina; and three grandchildren, Chancelor Hensley, St. Marys, Brandon Walpole, FL and Nathan Pickering, St. Marys.

He was also preceded in death by three brothers, Francis (Evelyn), Joseph (Joan) and Ralph I. Pickering; a sister, Anita (Tom) Andrew; a brother-in-law, Robert Heinfeld; and a son-in-law, Craig Braun.

Bob was a 1960 graduate of Celina Senior High School. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam era. He retired from Goodyear Tire and Rubber in St. Marys after 28 years of service.

He was member of Mt. Zion United Methodist Church, Celina.

Private graveside services will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Wapakoneta, OH at the convenience of the family.
