* WHERE...In Indiana, Wayne County. In Ohio, Auglaize, Darke, Hardin, Logan, Mercer, and Shelby Counties.
* WHEN...Until noon EST Saturday.
* IMPACTS...The cold wind chills as low as 10 below zero could result in hypothermia if precautions are not taken. Wind chill values can lead to hypothermia with prolonged exposure.

Omer Wynk

Omer Wynk, age 80, of Montezuma, died Sunday, January 22, 2017 at Briarwood Village, Coldwater.

He was born July 15, 1936 in Montezuma to the late Frank M. & Josephine A. (Stueve) Wynk. On September 7, 1963 he married Alice (Homan) and she survives in Montezuma.

He is survived by 7 children: Mary Lou & Roger Evers of Maria Stein, Ruth Wynk of Montezuma & special friend Mark Poeppelman, Linda & Greg Gaffney of Cincinnati, Steve & Cindy Wynk of New Bremen, Dan & Janet Wynk of Montezuma, Tom & Jenni Wynk of Montezuma and Gary & Sierra Wynk of Celina; 18 grandchildren; and in laws Bill & Viola Homan, Viola & Dennis Mescher, Lowell & Marion Homan and Ivo & Norma Homan.

He was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in Montezuma and the men's society of the church. Omer was a lifelong farmer and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 AM Wednesday, January 25, 2017 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, Montezuma. Burial will follow in Our Lady of Guadalupe Cemetery.

Friends may call from 2 to 8 pm on Tuesday and 9 to 10 am on Wednesday at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home in Coldwater.

Memorials may be made to Our Lady of Guadalupe Cemetery Fund.
