Jon Jones
Jon Paul Jones, age 55, of Celina, Ohio passed away at 3:25 p.m. on Thursday Jan. 26, 2017 at the Lima Memorial Hospital.
He was the son of Paul E. & Irene (Bader) Jones, born in Celina on Sept. 14, 1961.
Survivors include his mother Irene Jones of Celina, brothers and sisters-in-law Jeff and Dawn Jones of Celina, Jim & Julie Jones of Powell, sisters and brothers-in-law Teri and Mike Davis of Atascadero, CA, Jenny and Steve Hurlburt of Celina, nieces and nephews Josh Davis, Ryan Jones, Ashleigh Draughon, Kyle Fox, Kari Fox, Stephanie Jones and Seth Jones.
He was preceded in death by his father Paul E. Jones.
Jon graduated from Celina High School in 1979 and received his associate degree in Computer Science from the Wright State University Lake Campus. He was formerly employed at JC Penney as a manager for 19 years and worked for Panasonic, Celina Tent and recently Omni Manufacturing in St. Marys.
He was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and the Eagles, both of Celina. Jon enjoyed golfing, fishing, and attending Celina High School sporting events. He was an avid bicyclist.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 1, 2017 at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Celina, with Fr. Kenneth Schnipke C.PP.S. officiating. Burial will follow in St. Marys Catholic Cemetery in Celina.
A visitation will be held from 2-8 p.m. on Tuesday and from 9:00 a.m.-10:00 a.m. on Wednesday at the Lehman-Dzendzel Funeral Home in Celina.
Memorial contributions may be made to the I.C. Endowment Fund or Charity of the Donor's Choice.
