Gail Grunden
Gail J. Grunden, age 79, of Celina, OH, passed away on Friday, April 28, 2017 at 5:20 am at Celina Manor.
He was born March 30, 1938 in Montezuma, to the late Roy and Stella (Monroe) Grunden.
On November 19, 1960 he married Doris J. Baucher, they were together for 56 wonderful years and she survives at the residence in Celina.
He is survived by his two children, Melissa (Eric) Smith, Celina, and Matthew "Matt" (April) Grunden, Mendon; five grandchildren, Kyle Grunden, Kelli Garrity, Justin Smith, Ryan Smith and Allison Smith; six great grandchildren; and a sister-in-law, Margaret Grunden, Montezuma.
He is also preceded in death by a sister, Virginia (Don) Davis; and a brother, Jimmie Grunden.
Gail was a 1956 graduate of Celina Senior High School. He worked at Mersman Furniture Factory in Celina, Paul Shively Drywall and Plastering in Celina and retired from the Celina Fire Department where he proudly served for 25 years. He was a member of the Grand Lake United Methodist Church in Montezuma, Hopewell Grange, Mercer County Sportsman Association, and the Antique Fishing Lure Club. His family meant the world to him and he will be deeply missed by all.
Visitation hours will be from 3-7 pm on Monday, May 1, 2017, in Cisco Funeral Home, Celina.
Funeral services will begin at 10:30 am on Tuesday morning in the Grand Lake United Methodist Church, Montezuma, with Rev. Matt Overman officiating; where the family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral at the church. Burial will follow at Ellis Cemetery, Montezuma.
