St. Marys River at Rockford.
* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* WHERE...St. Marys River at Rockford.
* WHEN...Until Sunday evening.
* IMPACTS...At 13.0 feet, State Route 117 near Route 118 north of Rockford is water-covered and closed.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 9:40 PM EDT Saturday the stage was 13.1 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 13.2 feet just after midnight tonight. It will then fall below flood stage early tomorrow afternoon. - Flood stage is 13.0 feet.

Kenneth Cornett
Kenneth L. Cornett, 86, Saint Marys, died 11:38 A.M. Thursday, April 27, 2017, at Otterbein Saint Marys Retirement Community.
He was born May 21, 1930, in Christopher, Kentucky, the son of Samuel and Clora (Gross) Cornett.
He married Marvary Ratliff of April 8, 1949 in Mayking, Kentucky. She preceded him in death on August 21, 2013.
He is survived by his children: Deborah (Wesley) grant of Stockbridge, Georgia; Theresa (Darrell) Bayman of Saint Marys; Tammy (Daniel) Stinebaugh of Brighton, Colorado. He is survived by his 8 grandchildren: Christy Collins; Angela  Bruggeman; Brittany  Harris; Melissa Galbreath; Jennifer Herzog; Colenna Paysen; Benjamin Paysen; Amanda Pope. He is also survived by 24 great-grandchildren; and by 8 great-great-grandchildren. He is survived by one brother, James (Ella Fay) Cornett of Dayton, Ohio.
Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents; wife; by a son, Michael Cornett; by his brother Enos Cornett; by a sister, Evelyn Breshers. Mr. Cornett's brother, Lanny Cornett, died in Hazard, Kentucky,  just minutes prior to Kenneth's death in Saint Marys.
Mr. Cornett was a veteran of the US Army, having served during the Korean War. He retired from Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company in Saint Marys. He loved studying history, watching old movies, fishing and camping. He dearly loved his cat, Petey. He was a member of VFW Post 9289.
Funeral rites will be held 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, May 2, 2017, at the Miller Funeral Home, 1605 Celina Road, Saint Marys. Burial, with military honors, will follow at Resthaven Memory Gardens.
Friends may call from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. Monday at the Miller Funeral Home, where memorial gifts may be given to Grand Lake Hospice.
