Joseph Edward Hobbs, 60, formerly of St. Marys, OH died Tuesday July 4, 2017 at his residence in Omaha, NE, following a long battle with cancer.

He was born November 12, 1956 in Wilmington, OH to Marion and Patricia (Evans) Hobbs.

He is survived by: mother Patricia Hobbs of Ft. Wayne, IN; brother Mike Hobbs of St. Marys, OH; brother Steve Hobbs of St. Marys, OH; brother Dave Hobbs of St. Marys, OH; sister Marian (Randy) White of Aurora, CO; sister Ann (Art) Mendez of Ft. Wayne, IN; sister Sue (Tim) Rose of Ft. Wayne, IN.

He was preceded in death by his father, Marion Hobbs.

He was a graduate of St. Marys Memorial High School (Class of 1975) and attended Miami University in Oxford, OH. Joe was a veteran of the United States Army. He was employed in personnel transportation for Rail Crew Express in Omaha, NE.

A Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled 10:30 a.m. Wednesday July 12, 2017 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church 5111 E. Spring Street in St. Marys, OH with the Rev. Alex Witt, celebrant.

Visitation 4-7 p.m. Tuesday at Miller Funeral Home 1605 Celina Road (Ohio 703 West Chapel) in St. Marys.
