Light snow showers will continue through the day today. Visibility will be reduced at times with this snow shower activity. In addition, with falling temperatures, isolated slick spots will be possible.
ST. HENRY - Residents in 30 days will be allowed to drive under-speed vehicles, including golf carts, on village roadways with a speed limit of 25 mph or slower.
Council on Monday passed the ordinance after its third and final reading. The vehicles must pass a police department inspection before being used, according to the ordinance. The inspection fee for a newly purchased vehicle is $50, and the inspection of a vehicle that has been inspected by another law enforcement agency is $20. [More]
Area program for developmentally disabled turns 50

CELINA - The Cheryl Ann Board of Developmental Disabilities will host a 50th anniversary open house for the public from 4-7 p.m. Oct. 25.
Chili, snacks and drinks will be served as attendees take part in outdoor games, indoor tours and a short video reminiscing about both the 50-year-old origin of the Mercer County Cheryl Ann Coate Program and the 1967 legislation launching statewide programs for developmentally disabled children and adults. CELINA - City council members on Monday night unanimously approved a new three-year contract with the city's largest union, which represents employees of the utility, engineering and public works departments.
CELINA - Mercer County Educational Service Center governing board members on Monday night hired Kurt Wendel of Fort Recovery as the center's new treasurer.
