Robert Bullock
Robert "Bob" Thomas Bullock, 80 of Lima, passed away September 30, 2017 at his residence surrounded by his family.
Bob was born November 23, 1936 in Hattiesburg, MS to Robert and Geraldine (Barnhill) Bullock who preceded him in death. On December 19, 1960 he married Patricia Ann (Jacobs) Bullock who survives him.
Mr. Bullock had a career in the trucking industry, starting with OIM as a driver. After an accident, he worked as a terminal manager at Indianhead, dispatcher at Yellow Freight, dispatcher at Riggs and finished his career in 2009 as a truck driving instructor at Apollo.
He loved fishing and hanging out with his sidekick, Drew Bullock. He enjoyed fishing tournaments with his children and grandchildren and fishing with his friends at Indian Lake and Grand Lake.
Bob is survived by his sons, Thomas (Ann) Schaefer, Kevin (Judy) Bullock, Scott (Shelly) Bullock and Mike Bullock; daughters, Kellie (Robert) Black and Chrissy Bullock; brothers, Don (Twila) Bullock, Jerry (Sandy) Bullock and Terry (Donna) Bullock; sisters, Virginia Drinnen and Joyce Loe; 20 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; 7 step-grandchildren, 20 great step-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his son, Eric Bullock; sister, Mabel Thomas; brothers, Joe Earl Bullock, Tom Bullock and Phillip Bullock; step-fathers, Cy Thomas and Mike Martin; in-laws, Arthur and Ruth Jacobs; sister-in-law, Linda August and brothers-in-law, Jim (Sonia) Jacobs and Bob Jacobs.
Funeral service will be held October 3, 2017 at 12:00 pm at Chiles-Laman Funeral & Cremation Services–Shawnee Chapel with Father David Ross to officiate the service. Burial will be in Shawnee Cemetery following the service.
Friends may call Monday, October 2, 2017, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm & Tuesday, October 3, 2017, from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm at the funeral home.
