Eugene Borger
Eugene J. "Butch" Borger, age 76, of Coldwater, died Monday, December 18, 2017 at Celina Manor.
He was born February 20, 1941 in St. Henry to the late Delbert & Eugenia (Schuh) Borger. On November 5, 1966, he married Carol (Tekamp) Borger and she resides in Coldwater.
He is survived by children, Ron Borger of Stokesdale, North Carolina and Gregg & Lisa Borger of Coldwater; grandchildren Nate, Victoria, Lydia and Alex; sisters Lois & Ed Downs of Union, and Bernice & Stan Muse of Huber Heights; in-laws Mary Borger of Kettering, Jan & Mel Steinbrunner of Coldwater, Gary Tekamp of Coldwater, Wayne & Marlene Tekamp of Coldwater, and Elaine Tekamp of Coldwater.
He was preceded in death by siblings, Tom and Joe Borger; father and mother In-law Bud & Gert Tekamp; and brother in-law, Dan "Skip" Tekamp.
He was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Coldwater American Legion Post #470, and Celina V.F.W. Post #5713. Butch was a disabled veteran after serving three years in the US Army stationed in Vietnam, after the service he worked for many years at Teleflex in Van Wert.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 2 PM on Saturday, December 23, 2017 at Holy Trinity Church, Coldwater. Burial with military rites will follow in St. Elizabeth Cemetery, Coldwater.
Friends may call from 12 to 1:30 PM on Saturday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Coldwater.
Memorial may be made to Community Health Professionals.
