Richard Hileman
Richard L. Hileman, age 75, a former resident of Celina, passed away Sunday, February 25, 2018 at his home in Troy.
Born September 7, 1942 in Fort Wayne, IN, he was a son of Isaac "Dale" & Mary Ellen (Kuhn) Hileman, who both preceded him in death.
He is survived by 4 brothers: Charlie (Jane) Hileman of Celina, John (Myra) Hileman of Celina, Mike (Susie) Hileman of Versailles and Jim (Jean) Hileman of Celina. Also surviving are 11 nieces & nephews: Thomas Hileman, Kurt Hileman, Bradley Hileman, Annette Stuller, Marlene Steele, Keith Hileman, Jeffrey Hileman, Matthew Hileman, Marcus Hileman, Lisa Louth and Scott Hileman, and many great nieces & nephews.
A Graphic Designer, Richard had worked at B.F. Goodrich and Hobart in Troy, and Rapid Design in Vandalia. As a 1962 graduate of Immaculate Conception High School, Richard faithfully participated in all his class reunions over the years. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in Germany.
For 29 years, Richard was a very active member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Lodge #971 in Troy. He regularly traveled to attend annual Eagles Conventions, and in 2012 was inducted into the Eagles Hall of Fame, in recognition of his service to the group.
He was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Troy, and a 55-year member of the Celina Knights of Columbus Council #1800. Richard enjoyed playing Euchre, and always attended Family Reunions.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, March 3, at Immaculate Conception Church, Celina, with Fr. Vince Wirtner, C.PP.S., presiding. Burial will follow at St. Marys Cemetery, Celina.
Calling Hours are from 4:00-8:00 p.m. Friday, March 2 and 8:45-9:45 a.m. Saturday, March 3 at W.H. Dick & Sons-Hellwarth Funeral Home in Celina. A service of remembrance will be held Friday evening by members of Troy Eagles Aerie #971.
