* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 12:40 PM EDT Sunday the stage was 13.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 13.0 feet this afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage just after midnight tonight. - Flood stage is 13.0 feet.

Dorothy Ouwerkerk
Dorothy M. Ouwerkerk, 85, of Miamisburg, formerly of New Bremen, died at 3:05 A.M. on Wednesday, April 4, 2018 at the Ohio's Hospice of Dayton.
She was born on August 24, 1932 in Springfield, MA to the late Frank and Mary (Stefanik) Giedrich. On October 16, 1954 she married John N. Ouwerkerk in Springfield, MA, and he died on June 1, 1991.
Surviving are her children Joan (Tony) Johnson of Dayton, J. Nick (Ceil) Ouwerkerk of Staunton, VA, and Mark (Dawn) Ouwerkerk of Pensacola, FL, nine grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
Dot was a long-time member of St. Paul United Church of Christ in New Bremen, where she took an active role in the life of the church by singing in the choir, playing in the bell choir, being a part of the Satellite group and the Mission Team, helping with the youth group, and many other activities. She was active in the OCCL of New Bremen, and the Joint Township Hospital Guild for many years.
She was an avid New Bremen Cardinal fan, a Duke basketball fan, and a Michigan Wolverine football fan, and enjoyed watching tennis. She and John enjoyed entertaining family and friends in their home over the years, and also enjoyed the many family vacations to Lake Michigan. She enjoyed playing cards, and especially loved spending time with her grandchildren. Dorothy was a graduate of Bridgeport Central High School, and the Baypath Junior College.
Over the years, she worked at the St. Marys Cotton Mill, Brookside Laboratories, and the Auglaize County Clerk of Courts.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, April 7, 2018 at 2:00 P.M. at the St. Paul United Church of Christ in New Bremen with Rev. Becky Erb Strang officiating. Interment will follow in the German Protestant Cemetery of New Bremen.
Calling hours will be held prior to the services on Saturday, April 7, 2018, from 12:00 until 2:00 P.M. at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in memory of Dorothy can be made to St. Paul U.C.C., or Ohio's Hospice of Dayton.
