Shelia Marie Bell, 52, of Mendon, passed away at 4:44 PM Wednesday, October 31, 2018 in the Van Wert Area Inpatient Hospice Center following a one year illness.

She was born August 26, 1966 in St. Marys, a daughter of Cliff and Patricia Ann Reis Thompson. Her father survives in St. Marys and her mother is deceased. On December 31, 1984 she married Donald A. Bell, Sr., who survives in Mendon.

Also surviving are her son Donald A. Bell, Jr. of Celina and her daughter; Shawndra K. Bell Shellabarger of Rockford; four grandchildren; Jonathan Bell, Gregory Bell, Roxlynn Bell and Elliot Shellabarger; and her siblings; William "Bob" Thompson of Celina; Cliffton Thompson of St. Marys; Virginia Thompson of Hillsboro; Matthew Thompson of Celina; Youlonia (Rick) King of Celina; Kristopher Thompson of Mendon; Chad Thompson of St. Marys; Anglique Thompson of Lawrenceburg, TN.; and Stacy (Joe) Perin of St. Marys. Her brother John Thompson is deceased.

A memorial service will be held at 2 PM Friday, November 2, 2018 in the First Church of God in Mendon, with Pastor Jake Boroff officiating. Burial will be at a later date in the Spencerville Cemetery.

A visitation will follow the services in the church.

Memorial contributions may be given to Don for her monument fund.
