Patricia Borchers
Patricia M. (Phlipot) Wagner Borchers, age 85, of Homer Street, Versailles, passed away of natural causes Friday morning, November 16, 2018, at the Village Green Healthcare Center in Greenville, Ohio.
She was born October 16, 1933, in Newport, Ohio, to the late Louis and Estella (Dapore) Phlipot. On May 15, 1954, at St. Denis Catholic Church in Versailles, Patricia married John H. Wagner who preceded her in death on May 6, 1986. On November 21, 1987, also at St. Denis Catholic Church, Patricia married James A. Borchers who preceded her in death on December 21, 2014.
Surviving are four children: Larry & JoAnn Wagner of Versailles, Jane & Richard Willmann of Fort Recovery, Janet & Paul Pottkotter of St. Henry, Joyce & Dale Sherman of Minster, step children, Cindy Wical of Newport and Lee & Billie Jo Borchers of Salisbury, NC; seventeen grandchildren, two step grandchildren, twenty-six great grandchildren, one grandchild soon to be and one step great-grandson; one sister, Joan & Earl Grilliot of Versailles, sisters & brothers-in law: Naomi Phlipot of Versailles, Roman Meyer of Coldwater, Alfred & Mildred Borchers of Minster, Cyril & Dorothy Borchers of Centerville, Norma Reardon of Middletown, and Ruth Schieltz of Versailles.
She was preceded in death by a step son-in-law, Miren Wical, three siblings, Mary Magdalen & Henry Monnin, Jerome Phlipot, Dorvan & Martha Phlipot, two step siblings, Forest & Evelyn Phlipot, Lloyd & Anna Marie Phlipot as well as brothers & sisters-in-law: Frieda & Floyd Monnin, Urban & Elfrieda Borchers, Hilda & Ben York, Paul & Cecelia Borchers, Orville & Marlene Borchers, Ken & Dorothy Borchers, Richard & Martha Borchers, Mary Ann Meyer, Betty & Robert Hibner, Ed Reardon, George Schieltz, Rita & Wilfred Timmerman, and Werner & Mary Lou Wagner.
A graduate of Russia High School, Patricia was retired from Versailles Schools where she had been a cafeteria cook. She previously worked at Sonoco Products, formerly known as Container Corp. of America in Piqua. She was a member of St. Denis Catholic Church, the Greenville Eagles Ladies Auxiliary, Versailles Red Hats and Russia Gathering Place. In her leisure, Pat enjoyed traveling, eating out, and welcoming conversations with strangers.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 AM, Tuesday, November 20, 2018, at St. Denis Church in Versailles with Rev. James Simons presiding. Interment will follow at St. Valbert Cemetery. Friends may call Monday 2:00 to 7:00 PM and Tuesday 9:00 to 9:30 AM at Gehret Funeral Home in Fort Loramie.
