CELINA - A Fort Wayne, Indiana, man fell 30 feet to his death in an industrial accident on Friday morning, according to a Mercer County Sheriff's office news release.
Alexis Ivan Gutierrez Sanvicente, 23, of Weisser Park Avenue, Fort Wayne, was operating an industrial lift machine to place items onto a platform at his workplace at 5424 Watkins Road, St. Henry, in the early hours of the day, according to the release.
The sheriff's office did not release the name of the business. The property is owned by Rindler Family Real Estate LLC, according to records on the Mercer County Auditor's Office website.
A caller told the sheriff's office that a male, later identified as Sanvicente, had attempted to step onto the vehicle to unload it, causing the load to shift and the victim to fall about 30 feet to the ground onto concrete, according to the news release.
