* IMPACTS...At 13.0 feet, State Route 117 near Route 118 north of Rockford is water-covered and closed.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 8:40 AM EDT Sunday the stage was 13.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to fall slowly this afternoon, falling below flood stage later this evening. - Flood stage is 13.0 feet.

Maxine Vorhees
Maxine Jane Vorhees, age 82, of St. Marys, Ohio, and formerly of Mendon, Ohio, passed away on Thursday, September 19th, 2019, at her residence in St. Marys.
She was born on October 29th, 1936, in Van Wert, Ohio, to Earl and Marjorie (Harmon) Arnold. She married John Ben Vorhees in 1953. They were married almost 51 years when he passed in 2004.
Left to cherish her memories are her son, Jay (Virginia) Vorhees of St. Marys, and daughter, Jill (Dave) Roehm of Willshire. Grandchildren include: Abby (Vorhees) Kevin Gallimore, Jeremy (Helen) Roehm, and Brock Roehm, step grandchildren: Tim and Patrick Roether, great grandchildren: Liddiah Vorhees, Lucas Gallimore and Ronan, Myka, and Zane Roehm. Step great grandchildren: Angela, Bradly, and Carrie Roether, sisters-in-law: Jane Now of Rockford and Jackie Stallter of Celina, brother-in-law: Larry Piper of Lima, and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, 2 sisters: Laretta (Arnold) Bob Wilson and Sandra (Arnold) Piper, and brothers & sisters-in-law: Genevra Holland, Margaretta & Bill Kiniman, JoAnn Mulkey, Nadine Vorhees, Alice Lee Vorhees, Bill Now and Dick Stallter.
She had been employed at Reynolds and Reynolds for 7 1/2 years, and then retired from Huffy Bicycle after 33 years. She was a member of the Mendon United Methodist Church, and was attending Walnut Grove United Methodist, St. Marys.
She enjoyed spending time with her family. She liked to play Bingo, where she met some very good friends. She also enjoyed bowling, where she began in 1959 and played until 2018! She participated in over 40 state tournaments and 25 national tournaments.
Over the years, she made a lot of good friends and led a very fulfilling life, getting to travel Europe and various other places. Maxine had a zest for life with a beautiful spirit to all she met. She was the true definition of unconditional love, and had the most wonderful contagious laugh that will never be forgotten.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Monday, September 23, at W.H. Dick & Sons-Hellwarth Funeral Home in Mendon. Bev Hurlburt will officiate. Burial will follow at Mendon Cemetery.
Calling Hours are 2:00-5:00 p.m., Sunday, September 22, and an hour before time of services on Monday, at the Funeral Home in Mendon.
Memorial Contributions may be made to Grand Lake Hospice.
