Virginia Wendel
Virginia M. Wendel, 92, of Celina, Ohio, passed away at 2:33 pm on January 6, 2020, at Celina Manor Nursing Home.
She was born April 2, 1927, in Lock Two, Ohio to the late Charles and Mary Elizabeth (Martz) Brown.
Surviving are her children, Charlotte (Jim) Myers, Celina, Paula (Larry) Klosterman, Celina, Lynn (Chris) Shaffer, Sidney and Cathy Addessi, Celina, Ohio; stepchildren, Rob (Jane) Wendel, Celina and Stacy (Paul Heare) Wendel, Red Key, Indiana; a sister, JoAnn (Bernard) Baker, Celina; 13 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and 7 great-great-grandchildren.
Also preceded in death by her first husband Thurman Shaffer on October 16, 1976 and by her second husband Robert Wendel on April 12, 2010.
Virginia was a 1945 Graduate of Celina Senior High School. She retired from Reynolds and Reynolds in Celina after 25 plus years of service. She was a devoted wife and mother, a fun-loving grandma, and had many friends. She will be deeply missed by all.
Services are 2:00 pm on Saturday, January 11, 2020 at Cisco Funeral Home in Celina, the Rev. Richard Vanhorn officiating.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 pm-2:00 pm prior to the funeral. Burial is at Riverside Cemetery in Rockford.
