William Enyart
William L. "Bill" Enyart, age 77, of Portland, IN, passed away Monday, January 6, 2020, in the Supportive Care Unit at Parkview Hospital Randallia in Fort Wayne.
He was born August 6, 1942, in Celina, to the late Vernon Lionel Enyart and Margaret Ruth (Huey) Enyart Zimmerly. Bill and Janice L. (Shindeldecker) were married on July 6, 1963, and she preceded him in death April 7, 1975.
On January 10, 1976, at Grace Missionary Church in Celina, he married Patty (Shreves) and she survives, along with three children: Lionel (Lisa) Enyart of Van Wert, Mark Enyart of Coldwater, and Tracy (Jack) Britt of South Whitley, IN. Seven grandchildren: Jacob Enyart of Van Wert, Branden (Kayley) Enyart of Monroe, IN, Elise (Adam) Hoaglin of Van Wert, Benzel Enyart of Mount Vernon, Emily Enyart of Dayton, Jessica Britt of North Manchester, IN, and Jacob Britt of South Whitley, IN, survive, as well as six great grandchildren: Matthew Enyart, Jasmine Sapp, Emerson Hoaglin, Rylan Hollon, Avery Hoaglin, and Alexis Hoaglin.
Bill was preceded in death by his sister, Sharon Elaine (Enyart) Compson, a grandson, Ethan Enyart, and his stepfather, Clayton R. Zimmerly.
He was a 1961 graduate of Celina High School. Bill worked at Reynolds & Reynolds in Celina in Data Processing, and at Crown Control in New Bremen. Bill had been the owner of Enyart Trucking in Portland. After selling his business, he then worked for Limestone Products in Portland.
He was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church in Portland. Bill's interests included building computers, camping, and genealogy, which he researched extensively. Church and family were the cornerstones of Bill's life.
Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 Noon, Saturday, January 11, at W.H. Dick & Sons-Hellwarth Funeral Home in Celina, with Pastor Hugh Kelly officiating. Burial will follow at Swamp College Cemetery, Celina.
Calling Hours are 1:00-7:00 p.m., Friday, January 10, and 11:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m., on Saturday, January 11, at W.H. Dick & Sons-Hellwarth Funeral Home in Celina.
