Mindy Adam
Mindy Renae Adam, aged 40, of Hilliard, Ohio, passed away on Monday, March 30, 2020. Her courageous battle with pancreatic cancer has ended and she has joined her fellow angels in heaven.
She was born to Mary Jo Hirschfeld/Richards and Timothy Richards on October 18, 1979, in Celina, Ohio.
Above all else, Mindy loved her family. Her proud husband Dan Adam and their lively, beautiful, courageous and equally exuberant daughter, Arianna Adam, survive her.
Mindy accomplished a great deal in her life including graduating with a bachelor's degree in Marketing from Franklin University but her most prized accomplishment was being a wife and mother.
Mindy was not simply the life of the party… she was the party. Her smile was broad and her laugh was infectious. She could take charge of a room full of strangers with equal parts charm and authority. She took no prisoners when she sensed injustice but also took care to welcome everyone into her ever-expanding circle of friends and family.
She loved junk food and junk TV. She adored dolphins. White wine was her muse. In 25 years, she never missed a single episode of "Days of Our Lives." She lovingly and willingly suffered through a lifelong fandom of the Cleveland Browns, enjoyed all Ohio State sports and the Cincinnati Reds.
She would frequently tend to her shrine in honor of the New Kids on the Block and she would have taken a bullet for Justin Timberlake without a moment of hesitation. She craved sunny beaches, swimming, cooking, and was a serious neat freak with a talent for organization and color coordination.
Mindy leaves behind a thankful extended family who will miss her dearly. Mindy's life has provided unlimited joy for her best friend and mother, Mary Jo Muhlenkamp, proud stepfather Joseph Muhlenkamp, her beloved sister, Carly (Chris) Mavriplis, brother, Bryan (Allison) Richards, niece Olivia Richards, nephew Miles Richards and her dear grandparents Eugene Hirschfeld and Jerry and Eileen Muhlenkamp. Her grandmother, Patricia Hirschfeld who proceeded her in death.
Remember her only in the fullness of the life that she lived and the love that she gave… and then smile.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that all who are compelled to donate in Mindy's name to the PanCan Purple Stride Mindy's Team, http://support.pancan.org/goto/Mindy. Or to benefit her daughter Arianna, donations may also be made to help support Arianna's future needs/college funds at https://www.gofundme.com/f/mindy-adam-memorial-fund.
A service in celebration of Mindy's life will be held when the uncertainty of the current times dissipates, and conditions permit. Updates will be shared on Mindy's Facebook page "Mindy's Fight with Pancreatic Cancer" over the coming weeks.
