MARIA STEIN - Marion Local Board of Education members on Monday night learned about plans for possibly adding four elementary school classrooms.
A presentation by Garmann/Miller Architects-Engineers's Matt Hibner, Andrew Huelsman and Kellen Mescher revealed a detailed floor plan and exterior rendering. The classrooms would be attached to the existing kindergarten rooms on the southwest corner of the building. [More]

Businesses hurt by pandemic qualify
CELINA - Twenty-four local entities financially harmed by the COVID-19 pandemic received a total of $142,000 via a new program authorized by Mercer County commissioners.
CELINA - Developing a treatment train on 30-acres of land between the Big Chickasaw Creek and Little Chickasaw Creek known as the Quivey property would be a major milestone in local water-quality restoration efforts.
