Barbara Weigel
Barbara Weigel, age 90, of Coldwater, died Sunday, November 15, 2020 at Elmwood Assisted Living in New Bremen.
She was born May 20, 1930 in Jay County, Indiana, to the late Raymond & Veronica (Minch) Wagner. On August 20, 1949, she married Walter C. Weigel in Trinity, Indiana, and he died February 26, 2014.
She is survived by eight children, Sharon & Robert Frericks of Minster, Jan & Gary Dues of Celina, Susan & Rick Velez of Sacramento, California, Bob & Janice Weigel of Celina, Tim & Tina Weigel of Coldwater, Mary Kerg-Gohl & Bill Gohl of Troy, Amy & Michael Fourman of Loganville, Georgia and Julie & Ben Harlamert of Troy, a daughter-in-law, Jackie Weigel & Art Kaiser of Celina; 21 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; and siblings and in-laws, Betty Laux of Bryant, Indiana, Trudy Poling of West Milton, Ginny Chacon of Florida, Judy Miller of Union City, Indiana, Richard Houser of Bryant, Indiana, Ed & Susie Wagner of Celina, Don & Janet Wagner of Portland.
She is preceded in death by a son, Tony Weigel; a great-grandchild, Mia Vasquez; siblings and in-laws, John & Gretchen Wagner, Marie & Robert Remaklus, Ralph & Martha Wagner, Mathias & Dorothy Wagner, James & Margaret Wagner, Ruth Houser, Connie & Jim Lehman, and Tom Wagner, Bruce Poling, Louie & Jeanette Wagner, Roland Chacon, Joe Laux, Perry Miller, Otto & Ida Weigel, John & Bernice Weigel, Carl Weigel, Paul & Wanda Weigel, Earl & Patricia Weigel, Jerry & Betty Weigel, Ruth & Richard Wellman and William Weigel.
She was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church.
Mass of Christian Burial following all CDC guidelines will be held at 2:30 PM on Thursday, November 19, 2020 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Coldwater with livestream at https://www.coldwatercluster.org/information/watch-mass-online. Burial will follow in St. Elizabeth Cemetery, Coldwater.
The family would like to receive friends but due to COVID-19 concerns viewing will be private at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home in Coldwater.
