Marianne Remaklus
Marianne A. Remaklus, age 92, of Fort Recovery, Ohio, passed away on November 26, 2020 at The Gardens at Celina, Celina, Ohio.
She was born June 14, 1928, in Osgood, OH, to the late Leo and Helen (Brackman) Nieberding. On May 28, 1949, she married the late Joseph H. Remaklus, who died April 17, 2000.
Surviving are her seven children, Joseph W. (Shirley) Remaklus of North Star, OH, Marcia (Mark) Kuhbander of Celina, OH, Dan (Wendy) Remaklus of Gaithersburg, MD, Jean (Brad) Alspaugh of Bonita Springs, FL, David (Patti) Remaklus of Columbus, OH, Ted (Sherri) Remaklus of Cincinnati, OH, and Tom (Chris) Remaklus of Fort Recovery, OH; 15 grandchildren; 30 great grandchildren; 4 great great grandchildren; and a sister, Pat Sommer of Fort Recovery, OH.
Also preceding her in death are her two infant children; one great grandchild; siblings, Paul (Charlotte) Nieberding, Alma (Alvin) Kaup, Ralph Nieberding, and Janet (Tom) Bennett; and a brother-in-law, Hubert Sommer.
Marianne was a 1946 graduate of Fort Recovery High School and was also a graduate of the former Warner Beauty School, Fort Wayne, IN. She worked as a travel agent for many years.
She was a member of Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church, Fort Recovery and its Altar Sodality. In her past time, Marianne enjoyed bowling, golf, playing cards, traveling, and spending time with her grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be 1:00 pm Monday, November 30, 2020 at Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church, with Fr. Christian Cone-Lombarte as celebrant. All CDC guidelines will be followed during the Mass which will be live streamed at www.fortrecoverycatholics.org/streamspot/. Burial will follow at the church cemetery.
Calling is 1:00 pm-4:00 pm Sunday and 12:00 pm-12:30 pm Monday at Brockman-Boeckman Funeral Home, Fort Recovery, Ohio. Masks are required to be worn during the visitation and CDC guidelines will be followed.
