James Heyne
James F. 'Jim' Heyne, age 67, of Coldwater, died Friday, November 27, 2020 at Briarwood Village in Coldwater.
He was born July 14, 1953 in Coldwater to the late Leroy B. Heyne & Teresa (Arling) Heyne, his mother survives in Coldwater.
He is also survived by siblings, Katie (Bob) Dippold of Cassella, Sandy (Dan) Overman of Ft. Recovery, Joe (Carol) Heyne of Celina, Bob (Teresa) Heyne of Coldwater and Rick (Julie) Heyne of Coldwater; 17 nieces and nephews; and many great nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by a nephew Brad Heyne and a great-nephew Sawyer Overman.
He was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Coldwater, the Men's Holy Name Society of the church and the Coldwater Knights of Columbus. Jim graduated from Coldwater High School in 1971 where he won the John Philip Sousa Award and played his trumpet at local weddings.
He was an original client of the Center for Neurological Development in Burkettsville. He was a charter member of the Wally Post Chapter of the Reds Hall of Fame and avid Cleveland Browns fan. Jim was known for his positive attitude and never give up spirit and loved playing cards with family and friends.
A Public Mass of Christian Burial following all CDC guidelines will be held at 10:30 AM on Monday, November 30, 2020 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Coldwater with livestream at https://www.coldwatercluster.org/information/watch-mass-online. Burial will follow in St. Elizabeth Cemetery, Coldwater.
The family would like to receive friends but due to COVID-19 concerns viewing will be private at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home in Coldwater.
Memorials may be made to the Center for Neurological Development.
