Geraldine Lewis
Geraldine K Lewis "Geri", 76, of Rockford, passed away at 12:05 AM on January 21, 2021 at St. Rita's Medical Center in Lima.
Geri was born on August 23, 1944, in Celina, to the late Gene and Ethel (Linn) Longsworth.
In October of 1968, she married the love of her life, John Hall, who preceded her in death in 1998. Together, they shared years of memories.
Geri and John lived in Florida for 25 years until his death, upon which she returned home to Rockford. She worked for several years at Balyeats and Crescent Laundry. While in Florida, she cared for children as a babysitter.
Geri enjoyed shopping trips with her sister, being around others and socializing. Of all the things she loved the most, her grandchildren were her greatest pride and joy.
Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Kimberly Hall of Ocoee, FL; sister, Ruth (Gary) Davis of Rockford; grandchildren: Destiny, Herman and Isaiah Gomez, of Ocoee, FL.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Christopher Hall and brother, Clifford Longsworth.
Geri will be interred privately in Riverside Cemetery, Rockford. A celebration of Geri's life will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Geraldine`s memory may be sent to Van Wert Manor Activities Fund.
