An Arctic front will sweep east across the region between 5 AM and 9 AM. A few hours of snow showers and west wind gusts of 35 to 40 mph will occur with the frontal passage. While any accumulations will generally be a half inch or less, some challenging travel conditions may develop given, rapidly changing road conditions and visibilities, strong wind and cold temperatures. These conditions will impact the morning commute. Use caution and allow for extra time to reach your destination.

Delores Schmitz
Delores M. Schmitz, age 84, of St. Henry, died Friday January 29, 2021, at Briarwood Village, Coldwater.
She was born November 24, 1936 in Philothea, to the late Frank F. & Rose A. (Depweg) Kremer. On June 29, 1957, she married Elmer J. Abels and he died March 17, 1974. She later married Cletus W. Schmitz on October 28, 1995 and he died April 13, 2010.
Delores is survived by daughters and in-laws, Kathy Jones of Powell, Nancy & Stan Nagel of Dublin, Diane Stephens of Columbus Grove, Brenda Abels of Vandalia, OH, seven grandchildren, and three great grandchildren, as well as siblings and in-laws: Donald & Donna Kremer of Coldwater, Gerald & Joyce Kremer of Montezuma.
In addition to her parents and husbands, Delores is preceded in death by a son-in-law Randy Stephens.
She was a member of the St. Henry Catholic Church and the Altar Rosary Sodality. Delores was a member of the Ft. Recovery Legion Auxiliary, St. Gaspar Ladies Auxiliary, and the Naim of the North. She was an avid volunteer for the Mercer County Hospital, the Mercer County Senior Citizens, Briarwood Village and The Gardens at St. Henry. She took great pride in her family, especially her grandchildren.
Mass of Christian burial following all CDC guidelines will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 3, 2021 at St. Henry Catholic Church. Burial will follow the mass in St. Henry Cemetery.
Friends may call from 9:00 am-10:30 am at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home in St. Henry.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Henry Church or State of the Heart Care.
