An Arctic front will sweep east across the region between 5 AM and 9 AM. A few hours of snow showers and west wind gusts of 35 to 40 mph will occur with the frontal passage. While any accumulations will generally be a half inch or less, some challenging travel conditions may develop given, rapidly changing road conditions and visibilities, strong wind and cold temperatures. These conditions will impact the morning commute. Use caution and allow for extra time to reach your destination.

* IMPACTS...The cold wind chills could result in hypothermia if precautions are not taken. Wind chill values can lead to hypothermia with prolonged exposure.

Von Dean Snyder
Von Dean Snyder, age 87, of Celina, passed away on January 28, 2021 at Mercer Health Hospital in Coldwater. He was born April 5, 1933 in Union Township to the late Charles & Bertha (Werts) Snyder. On April 4, 1954 he married Esther (Harner) Snyder who survives in Celina.
Dean is also survived by his daughter, the Reverend Carol McKay of Weirton, West Virginia; grandsons Jacob and Jonah McKay.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles E. and Bertha (Werts) Snyder; two brothers, Eldon and Carl (Jack) Snyder; a half-brother, William (Bill) Springer; two sisters, Katherine Harner and Floy Whetstone; and two half-sisters, Evelyn McCain and Marie Shimp.
Dean retired from Reynolds & Reynolds Company after forty-four years of employment as a press operator. During retirement he assisted bereaved families at Cisco Funeral Home. He was a member of Bethany United Methodist Church.
Dean was a loving husband, son, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. He will be greatly missed by those who loved him.
Visitation will be on Friday, February 5, 2021 from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm at Cisco Funeral Home in Celina. Funeral service will follow at 1:00 pm at the funeral home with the Rev. Jim Wilson, II officiating.
Interment will follow at Riverside Cemetery in Rockford.
Attendees are required to follow social distancing and guidelines dictated by the Ohio Department of Health, due to the national concerns of COVID-19. Masks are required by attendees at visitation and funeral service.
Memorial contributions can be made to Bethany United Methodist Church.
