Donald Schwartz
Donald R. Schwartz, 82, of Botkins, OH, died at 7:38 AM on Wednesday, February 3, 2021 at Kettering Medical Center.
He was born February 11, 1938 in Minster to the late Raymond & Alvira (Stucke) Schwartz. He was also preceded in death by his stepfather Raymond Homan.
On June 25, 1960, he married Mary E. Eilerman, and she preceded him in death on July 4, 2010.
He is survived by 4 children, Cindy (Todd) Snyder, Anna, OH, Tom (Janet) Schwartz, Botkins, Elaine (Jon) Russell, New Bremen, OH, Diane (Mark) Goubeaux, Botkins, 15 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and 1 on the way, brothers & sister: Jerry & Mary Jane Schwartz, Fort Loramie, Dave & Lorraine Schwartz, Coldwater, Mike & Vicki Schwartz, Minster, Mary Lou & Bruce Guy, Miamisburg, step siblings: Doris Ann & Jerry Will Sr., St. Sebastian, Evelyn Hale, Celina, Norma Homan, Coldwater, in-laws: Ralph Eilerman, New Bremen, Leona Speck, West Milton, Sister Marge Eilerman O.S.F. Booneville, KY.
He was preceded in death by a stillborn granddaughter, Ashley Schwartz, stepbrother Gene Homan, in-laws: Dave Hale, Victor & Wilma Drees, Edna & Urban Fullenkamp, Cletus & Dolores Eilerman, Rita & Richard Brunswick, Norbert & Rita Eilerman, Dolores & Harold Goettemoeller and John Speck.
He was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Botkins. He was a 1956 graduate of Minster High School. He was a member of the Kiwanis Club and a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was retired from Stolle Corp. Sidney. He loved bowling, the Reds, Bengals, Ohio State and spending time with his family.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, February 6, 2021 at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Botkins, with his nephew, Rev. Craig Eilerman and Rev. Sean Wilson con-celebrating. Burial is to follow in the Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Botkins.
The family will receive friends Friday from 4 to 7 PM and Saturday, 9-9:45 a.m., at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Minster.
