PORTLAND, Ind. - The trial of a second woman charged in the murder of a Portland, Indiana, man began Monday with jury selection in Jay County Circuit Court in Portland.

CELINA - City council members on Monday unanimously agreed to draft an ordinance to restrict where medical marijuana dispensaries can be located in Celina.

ST. MARYS - St. Marys council members meeting Monday passed an ordinance to increase slightly an existing discount for new or expanding industrial electric customers.

MARIA STEIN - Marion Local school board members at their Monday meeting hired Amy Reineke as the new district treasurer and made preparations for the start of the school year.

COLDWATER - Council members during their Monday meeting heard from residents concerned about an abandoned house in the village.

Ken Ahrens asked if anything is being done about the property with tall weeds Ahrens called an "eyesore" at 551 South Second Street.
