COVID-era fair may set attendance record

St. Marys' top two golfers combined to play par golf on the front nine of Celina Lynx to defeat Celina 156-185 in Western Buckeye League boys golf action on Thursday afternoon.
WAPAKONETA - The Ohio State Highway Patrol announced it will operate an OVI checkpoint in Auglaize County this evening.
The OVI checkpoint, funded by federal grant funds, is planned to deter and intercept impaired drivers.
CELINA - The 2021 cross country season will be a season of change for Celina after longtime coach Dan Otten died in January after a battle with cancer.
COLDWATER - Coldwater cross country coaches Martin Schoenherr and Jenny Alig are looking to have bounceback seasons for their teams.
Illness and injuries hampered the Cavaliers last year and key losses will require the coaches to retool and refine the teams this season.
FORT RECOVERY - Fort Recovery cross country has a girls district championship to defend and returns district qualifiers on both the boys and girls teams, including an individual district champion.

NEW BREMEN - With a solid nucleus of returning runners the New Bremen boys and girls cross country teams will be looking to move up in the pack this fall.
ROCKFORD - After coming in no higher than fourth in the district meet in 2020, Parkway is eyeing a pair of deep postseason runs this year.

Seniors Sam Koesters and Ben Romer return after averaging 18-hole scores of 86.4 and 89, respectively, behind graduated senior Nate Niekamp.

CELINA - While veteran coach Ryan Jenkins will look to continue to keep his Celina boys soccer team towards the the top of the Western Buckeye League standings, he will have to fill several key spots from last season's 12-4-2 (7-1-1 WBL) season.
