Dale Dues
Dale J. Dues age 70 of Minster, Ohio died at 4:10 PM on Sunday, March 20, 2022 at St. Ritas Medical Center, Lima, Ohio.
He was born on February 17, 1952 in Sidney, Ohio to the late Irvin Dues & Juanita (Goettemoeller) Dues, who survives in Minster. He married Margaret Poeppelman on September 24, 1977 at St. Michael Catholic Church, Fort Loramie, Ohio. She survives in Minster.
He is also survived by daughters: Amy & Kevin Prenger, Minster and Jodi Dues, New Albany, Ohio, 3 grandchildren: Kennedy, Taylor, Carter Korte, sister & brother: Vickie & Jim Barrett, Jerry & Becky Dues, both of Fort Loramie, in laws: Richard Poeppelman, Fort Loramie, Jane Poeppelman, Fort Loramie, Elaine & Doug Hausfeld, Minster, Ken & Deb Poeppelman, Fort Loramie.
He was preceded in death by brother Robert Dues, Margaret's parents Andrew & Germaine (Thaman) Poeppelman and in-law Rebecca Poeppelman.
He was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church, Minster, he was a 1970 graduate of Minster High School and Co-Owner of DUCO Tool & Die with his wife. He was a 40-year veteran of the Minster/Jackson Twp Fire Department and 20 years as chief. He was a member of the Minster Civic Association, the Minster Athletic Boosters, lifetime member of the Minster K of C, the Ohio Fire Chiefs Association and Minster F.O.E #1391. He was the 2013 Minster Civic Association Citizen of the Year. Dale was an avid Minster Wildcat sports fan, and especially enjoyed watching his grandchildren play and cheer for the Wildcats. He also enjoyed golfing and loved spending time with his family and friends.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held 9:30 AM on Saturday, March 26, 2022 at St. Augustine Catholic Church, Minster. Burial will take place in St. Augustine Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Minster from 2 to 8 PM on Friday, March 25, 2022 and from 8:30 AM to 9 AM on Saturday.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to set up a scholarship fund at Minster Schools in Dale's name.
