Marion Local to create task force

MARIA STEIN - Marion Local Schools district residents are asked to consider joining a task force to provide input on a possible building project to meet rising student enrollment.
"The district is assessing a master plan that currently includes classrooms, gymnasium, agriculture education suite, commons area, locker rooms, weight room and administration offices to support students occupying the building," said superintendent Mike Pohlman at Monday night's regular board meeting. Bohman stifles St. Henry for second time as Flyers advance

ST. HENRY - St. Henry had no answers for Ashlyn Bohman in the Midwest Athletic Conference softball opener on April 7.
When the Division IV tournament opened on Monday, the Redskins still couldn't get past the Marion Local ace.
The Flyers scratched across a run in the fifth and padded the lead in the sixth as Bohman flummoxed St. Henry in a 4-0 win at the Wally Post Athletic Complex. [More]

ST. MARYS - City council members on Monday night passed final reading of legislation modifying a power cost adjustment in electric rates for the municipal electric system.

NEW BREMEN - Village council members on Monday passed legislation that will pave the way for construction of an unnamed restaurant in the village shopping mall rumored to be a Taco Bell.
COLDWATER - Village council members awarded a $125,000 contract to Shinn Bros. Inc., Celina, for the Hardin Street waterline extension.

CELINA - West Ohio Food Bank has rescheduled its monthly food distribution in Mercer County.
The distribution scheduled for today at the Galleria parking lot in Celina has been cancelled, per a news release from the food bank.
FORT RECOVERY - Ryan Thien wasn't sure how his Fort Recovery softball team would look coming out of the gate.
It had been a week since the team last played, and Fort Recovery had to wait an additional half-hour or so for Ridgemont to come to town for their Division IV tournament game.
