MARIA STEIN - A task force of about 35 local residents has been formed to provide input on a possible building project to address space shortage at Marion Local Schools.
Superintendent Mike Pohlman told school board members at Monday night's meeting that the community has responded well to a request to join the task force to examine possible options for a building project. [More]

COLDWATER - The village has landed an $85,000 state grant to create wetlands, council members learned at Monday night's regular meeting.
Village administrator/ engineer Eric Thomas said the Ohio Department of Natural Resources funds will be used to establish five wetlands areas in the nature preserve detention area at the southern edge of town. The village of Coldwater owns all of the land including the woods in the area. [More]
Several changes for postseason assignments will occur as the Ohio High School Athletic Association announced its divisional breakdowns for the 2022 Fall Sports Season.
Divisions V and VII will have new champions this fall after the defending champions moved into Division VI. Division VII champion Marion Local and Division V champ Versailles will be in Division VI Region 24 along with fellow MAC member Parkway. [More]
